The Bus Duct offered is of continuous design (continuously bonded enclosure type) Isolated Phase Bus Duct in which the enclosure sections are made electrically continuous and shorted at the ends.

The continuous enclosure operating at ground potential limits the leakage flux outside the enclosure to a very low value thereby eliminating the problem of inductive heating of magnetic materials in the vicinity of the bus duct. The conductor for the main bus will be of circular cross section rolled from aluminium alloy sheets of adequate thickness.

Flexible bellows made of neoprene rubber are provided for the enclosure near the terminal equipments and also the building wall if the busduct passes from the indoor to the outdoor area to allow thermal expansions and to prevent mechanical vibrations being transmitted to the connecting equipment.

The bus bars are mounted in position by using solid core high strength porcelain insulators at regular intervals.
